AIDA 1

For those who have never done any underwater activity before and would like to experience freediving, we highly recommend you the “discover freediving” option.

The “Discover freediving” is the right course for those who are curious enough to approach freediving, and yet have not been determined to make a full course. During this course you will discover the wonderful underwater world and its charms from the purest form of diving.

Content of the course:

  • 1Theory session: physiology, respiration, and security systems
  • 2Breathing and relaxation for freediving
  • 31 Open water session, where students will practice the diving technique.
  • 41 Pool session ,where students will practice the holding breath technique (in heated indoor pool)

Course duration: 1-2 days

Requirements:

  • 1Be at least 18 years (or 12 with parental consent).
  • 2Know how to swim.
  • 3 Medical certificate with less than two years, indicating you "do not have medical contraindications for freediving".

Includes: Digital manual, freediving equipment and official certification. ** At the end of this course, if the student decides to then continue with the AIDA 2 certification on the spot, then the student will not be charged to pay for this course.

AIDA 2

This is the basic course where you will learn the proper breathing techniques for freediving. During this course you will learn all necessary techniques and adequate knowledge to freedive in depths up to 20 meters comfortably.

Course content:

  • 1Theory: physiology, physics, breathing techniques, pressure& equalization, disciplines, safety and rescue.
  • 2Practical workshop: breathing and relaxation techniques.
  • 32 Pool sessions: static and dynamic disciplines. (in heated indoor pool)
  • 4 2 Sea sessions: breathing, visualization, duck dive, equalization, finning techniques, proper weighting, buddy system, safety and rescue

At the end of the course students will be able to hold their breath for at least 2 minutes, swim 40 meters underwater and dive minimum 16 meters and max 20 meters comfortably. Course duration: 3 days

Requirements:

  • 1Be at least 18 years (or 12 with parental consent).
  • 2Know how to swim more than 200m.
  • 3 Medical certificate with less than two years, indicating you "do not have medical contraindications for freediving".

Includes: Digital manual, freediving equipment and official certification. ** If the student has more available days the course can be extended to 5 days for more sea sessions without any extra cost.

AIDA 3

The AIDA 3 Freediver Course is the summit of the freediving program. The aim of this course is to work between 24 and 30 meters deep, where the "residual volume" lung is usually a limitation for your dives.

Course content:

  • 1 Theory: deep equalization using the "frenzel" technique, disadvantages and limitations caused by pressure and pulmonary measures. Failure depth and "packing". You will learn to dive into passive exhale (risks and benefits), decompression sickness and deep narcosis.
  • 12 Pool sessions : warming up, training tables for dynamic and static disciplines. (in heated indoor pool)
  • 24 Open water sessions:  practice “frenzel” technique, freefall, recovery breathing after each dive,
  • 3Deep safety and rescue procedures.

After the course students will be able to hold their breath for at least 2.45 minutes, swim 55 meters underwater and dive between 24 and 30 meters comfortably.

Course duration: 4 days

Requirements:

  • 1Have completed previous freediving level.
  • 2Be at least 18 years (or 16 with parental consent).
  • 3Know how to swim more than 400m.
  • 4 Medical certificate with less than two years, indicating you "do not have medical contraindications for freediving".

Includes: Digital manual, freediving equipment and official certification.
